JOB SUMMARY

As a Business Analyst you will manage projects, analyzes data, and creates and delivers presentations to FBI senior executives. Business Analysts combine Bureau knowledge with business acumen to progress the FBI mission.

Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance

MAJOR DUTIES

GS-07

Leverage enterprise reporting applications to provide data insights to decision-makers across the organization through ad-hoc analytics projects.

Manage internal technical systems and constantly improve the transparency and efficiency of internal business processes

Apply industry-leading management consulting practices to advise FBI executives on strategies to navigate business and operational challenges

Manage staffing levels and recommend cost-saving strategies to RPO executives

Oversee the creation of the FBI’s strategy at all 56 Field Offices

Combine Bureau knowledge with business acumen to progress the FBI mission

In addition to above

Conduct data quality reviews and/or assist in the development and/or modification of quality assurance measures.

Research and evaluate a variety of inquiries and reports.

Draft portions of reports or responses and ensure information is consistent with prior information provided.

Develop and provide management with recommendations and reports to improve the effectiveness of work methods, manpower utilization, and similar functions. Provide input on the development of manuals, guides, and information packages.

Positive Education Requirement

This position has a specific education requirement; all applicants must verify completion of this basic educational requirement by submitting a copy of their college transcripts by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.

Candidates must have received or will be receiving an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD degree between May 2024 and June 2026 with a GPA no less than 2.95 on a 4.0 scale at the time of graduation. Veterans have up to six years after graduating or completing their degree to apply (May 2020-June 2026).

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.

Education

All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:

GS-7 : Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree with superior academic achievement or one (1) full year of graduate level education. Superior academic achievement is the completion of all the requirements of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average of 2.95 or higher as recorded on an official transcript, or as based on courses completed during the final two years of the curriculum, or (3) honor society membership.

GS-9 : Applicant must have a master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
