What We Are Looking For
Baylor University Athletics department is searching for an Assistant/Associate Athletic Director, Governance & Regulatory Affairs that will help develop strategies to promote student athlete success, including but not limited to retention, academic college readiness, stress management and wellness. A Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience is required and a Master's degree with 7 years of experience is preferred.
All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
What Will You Do
Position plays a critical role in compliance monitoring of NCAA, Big 12, CSC/House Settlement and Baylor institutional rules and policies
Staff member will be responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the Governance and Regulatory Affairs unit with direct oversight of two full time staff members
Serve as liaison to assigned sports programs and provide guidance on day-to-day regulatory matters for those programs including interpretations, investigations, waivers and violations as necessary
Staff member will oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive rules education plan
Collaborate with campus stakeholders such as admissions, financial aid, registrar's office, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
