Job mission The Director of Commercial Excellence is responsible for driving sustainable improvements in commercial performance by leading strategic initiatives focused on process efficiency, organizational optimization, and enhanced productivity. As a key leader within Commercial Operations, this role fosters a culture of continuous improvement and collaborates closely with compliance and workforce planning teams to ensure measurable outcomes aligned with Cartier North America’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Commercial Leadership
Develop and implement commercial excellence initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Define key priorities to increase productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness across the commercial organization.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends to ensure strategic relevance and competitive advantage.
Works transversally to support business needs.
Operational Efficiency & Process Optimization
Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement and cost-efficiency.
Lead cross-functional projects to streamline workflows and increase commercial agility.
Ensure alignment between commercial excellence, compliance, and workforce strategies.
Performance Monitoring & Data Management
Monitor and analyze commercial KPIs to track progress and identify opportunities for optimization.
Develop and implement strategies to improve data quality, reporting consistency, and decision-making.
Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Manage complex projects ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
Ensure consistent methodology in project governance, execution, and stakeholder alignment.
Identify & prioritize business projects and demonstrate ability to influence and collaborate across stakeholders at all levels while delivering results from inception to completion of the project
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the commercial excellence team, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, proactivity, and service excellence.
Leads the performance management of team and delivers timely feedback and coaching
Fosters team engagement and demonstrate leadership behaviors that align to organization values
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to champion continuous improvement best practices and integrate into key business initiatives.
Animate a community of shared responsibility by fostering open communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among stakeholders and team members.
Oversee the development and implementation of OKRs, KPIs, and career development plans aligned with the business strategy, empowering team members to achieve their full potential and contribute to the organization's strategic goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or a related field.
MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
8+ years of experience in a commercial or operational role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
Proven track record of success in driving commercial excellence initiatives.
Ability to lead complex projects and collaboratively deliver results
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience leading leaders and teams along with the ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
Ability to demonstrate leadership influence at all levels
Experience with project management methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Motivated individual able to work both independently and as a team player as required

Operational efficiency gains (e.g., reduced costs, improved cycle times).
Success rate of implemented process improvements.
Project completion rate and adherence to deadlines.
Development and performance of the Commercial Excellence team.
