As a Mixed Methods UX Researcher (UXR), you will research user needs across various devices using qualitative and quantitative methods. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations and shape impactful, human-centered product experiences for the Android ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences.

Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a dynamic and changing environment.

Advocate research findings through written reports and in-person presentations.

Conduct advanced analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data to generate clear, actionable insights that inform the creation of useful, usable, and delightful transformative cross-device experiences.

Design, plan, and execute, research studies utilizing a comprehensive mix of qualitative (e.g., interviews, ethnography) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, log analysis, A/B testing) methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

4 years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar.

Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).

Experience in conducting UX research on consumer mobile or multi-format experiences.

Experience partnering with cross-functional partners (e.g., UX Design, Product Management, Engineering, Data Science), translating research findings into product direction/strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.

Experience with statistics or any other mixed-methods research tools such as survey analysis, logs analysis, etc.

Experience conducting UX research on products, managing projects, and working in a cross-functional organization.

Experience in communicating user research findings with cross-functional partners to drive impact.

Understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process.

Ability to adapt quickly, be flexible, organized, resourceful, and to partner and influence.
