CNC Programmer – 1st Shift

Santa Ana, CA $90,000–$120,000 (DOE) 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00am – 3:30pm

We’re a high-precision CNC machining shop in Santa Ana seeking an experienced Sr. CNC Programmer to lead programming efforts and help elevate our team to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that values technical excellence, teamwork, and personal development.

You’ll be hands-on in the shop — creating programs, proving out processes, and helping train other programmers to your level of expertise. If you take pride in efficiency, accuracy, and leadership, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

Create NC programs and prove out manufacturing processes for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines (simultaneous tool paths a plus)

Work closely with the Machine Shop Manager and staff to meet production and quality requirements

Collaborate with the Shop Scheduler to align on priorities and job flow

Design and optimize fixtures/workholding systems to maximize efficiency and table space

Develop pallet system designs for production-volume machining (Mitee-Bite and clamp systems)

Oversee and mentor other programmers to maintain high standards and continuous improvement

Conduct setup, operation, and program troubleshooting when needed

Utilize Mastercam (6+ years required) and CAMplete for NC code verification

Perform in-process validation and inspection using QC tools and drawings

Support machine maintenance and contribute to process optimization

What You Bring

6+ years of CNC programming experience in Mastercam

Strong background with HAAS, DOOSAN, and Matsuura controls

Advanced understanding of speed, feed, and cutting tools for various materials

Skilled in fixture design, probing (HAAS & Fanuc), and high-precision machining

Comfortable meeting tight tolerances (+/– .001”)

Experience leading or training a small programming team (1–2 people)

Motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable

Common Materials Used: Aluminum 6061-T6 | Titanium Grade 5 | Stainless Steel (17-4, 303, 304, 316, 455) | Plastics (Delrin, ABS, PTFE, PEEK, PC)
