Position Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate with 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience to join our finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to grow into broader responsibilities across Accounting, FP&A, or Operational Finance.


The Accounting Associate will support core accounting functions such as journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You’ll also be encouraged to take initiative, analyze financial data, collaborate across departments, and contribute to cross-functional projects with visibility to senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for general ledger accounts
  • Process Sales Orders and Vendor Invoices
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with AP/AR teams to ensure accuracy in transaction processing
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement areas
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including schedule and documentation prep
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Partner with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations) to support financial insight
  • Participate in process improvements, reporting automation, and special projects


Experience and Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting or finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, data analysis)


Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., AS400, NetSuite, SAP)
  • Exposure to financial reporting tools or business intelligence platforms
  • Background in FP&A or interest in progressing toward broader finance roles
  • Understanding of compliance standards and financial controls
  • Familiarity with inventory, cost accounting, or CPG industry metrics
