Summary:

Summit Ridge Energy ("SRE") is seeking an HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle as part of a dynamic and growing organization. We are seeking someone detail-oriented, interested in creating and owning processes, and providing best-in-class service to a growing organization. Specific areas of focus include recruiting, onboarding, HRIS management, LMS management, training, and reporting.

Summit Ridge Energy (SRE) is the nation's leading owner-operator of residential community solar assets. We acquire, develop, construct, and operate solar energy and energy storage projects across the United States. The Summit Ridge team also manages a dedicated funding vehicle that is used to own and operate community solar assets. We are passionate go-getters who have achieved incredible growth and success through the efforts of our talented staff. The position is based out of our headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, and reports to the Director, Human Resources

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Have a passion for recruiting and experience with recruiting for multiple requisitions across business units.
  • Manage employee onboarding from background checks to new hire communications, champion onboarding programs that go beyond Day 1.
  • Day-to-day administration of the HRIS - management of employee records, report creation, benefits administration
  • Point of contact to answer employee questions and resolve issues regarding compensation, benefits, company policies, procedures, and other foundational HR processes
  • Manage immigration programs for employees in partnership with legal counsel.
  • Manage leave programs, including compliance with FMLA
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Undertake tasks around performance management
  • Maintain employee files including performance of periodic audits to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • Other associated duties as assigned.
Must Have Skills/Competencies:
  • 2-5 years' Generalist experience in a fast-paced, growing organization
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in the administration of an HRIS system
  • Excellent skills in MS Office - experience with SharePoint a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging and autonomous environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adherence to deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technologically savvy, with strong computer skills and the ability to embrace and adapt to changes
  • SHRM certification preferred
