Quality Technician (Inspector Team Assistant)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Summary
The Quality Technician (Inspector Team Assistant) is responsible for supporting daily inspection processes in a fast-paced manufacturing plant lab environment. This role ensures all materials, components, and finished products meet design and engineering requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished goods to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
- Use precision lab tools and equipment (including Calipers, Pin Gauges, and Height Gages) to perform accurate measurements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Record and maintain inspection data, reports, and certifications with attention to accuracy and traceability.
- Support problem-solving and root cause investigations in collaboration with production and engineering teams.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Communicate findings clearly to team members, supervisors, and cross-functional departments.
- Uphold safety, cleanliness, and calibration standards within the lab and production areas.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required (for clearance eligibility).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or plant lab environment is required.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Must have hands-on experience with precision lab tools, including Calipers, Pin Gauges, and Height Gages.
- Solid knowledge of quality inspection methods and dimensional measurement principles.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and math skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical teams.
- Comfortable working in a factory or warehouse setting with strict safety and quality standards.
