Customer Quality Engineer
Reliance One is hiring for one of our clients seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to support their automotive electronics manufacturing operations. The role will focus on customer satisfaction, quality system compliance, and continuous improvement. Candidates may be considered at either the Senior Customer Quality Engineer or Customer Quality Engineer level based on experience.

Compensation
Senior Customer Quality Engineer:
$115,000–$125,000 base salary + 8% bonus target
Customer Quality Engineer:
$100,000–$115,000 base salary + 5% bonus target
Schedule:
Monday–Friday (Onsite in Holly, MI)
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering or related field).
Minimum 5 years of quality experience with advanced quality engineering practices, principles, and processes.
3–5 years of experience in automotive electronics manufacturing at a Tier 1 supplier.
Experience with customer portals and scorecard management.
Prior experience with IATF 16949 processes.
Knowledge of AIAG core tools, APQP, PPAP, GD&T, Flow Diagrams, FMEAs, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control.
Proficiency with measurement tools (height gauge, vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, indicator, etc.).
Strong root cause analysis skills using 8D, 5 Phase, and Drill Deep methodologies.
Proven ability to lead and manage large, complex projects and cross‑functional teams.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to represent the company professionally.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced manufacturing environment with multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns and support resolution activities.
Manage customer scorecards and ensure alignment with key quality metrics.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Support APQP, PPAP, and ongoing production quality processes.
Maintain compliance with internal and external quality standards, including IATF 16949.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to drive quality improvements.
Prepare and deliver technical reports, quality data analysis, and customer presentations.
