The
Human Resources Generalist
will provide day-to-day HR support to the Plant HR Manager across multiple functional areas of human resources. This role plays a key part in supporting plant operations by ensuring consistent application of HR policies and practices, promoting positive employee relations, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering an engaged, productive workforce. Work Schedule:
This position supports a production environment that operates Mon – Thurs (5:30 AM – 4:00 PM) with flexibility to support overtime and production recovery days as needed. Responsibilities
Provide daily HR support to the Plant HR Manager across a range of human resources functions. Assist with recruitment activities, including writing job descriptions, screening resumes and applications, coordinating interviews, and participating in the selection process. Counsel employees on work-related concerns and conduct exit/termination interviews, providing feedback and recommendations to management when appropriate. Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policies, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and affirmative action reporting requirements. Prepare and submit HR reports in accordance with legislative requirements, collective bargaining agreements, or organizational needs. Conduct research and analyze HR data to support continuous improvement initiatives and assigned projects. Assist with compensation planning, performance management processes, and workforce planning goals. Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and employee programs. Promote positive employee relations and contribute to a safe, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of human resources or labor experience. Master’s degree and at least 3 years of human resources or labor experience. At least 7 years of human resources or labor experience. Additional Requirements
Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (U.S. Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 2–4 years of HR generalist experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
