NERC Standard Manager Senior to Principal Onsite full-time position in Columbus, Roanoke, or Tulsa. Job posting end date: 11-04-2025 (the posting will close the day before this date). What You'll Do
Requires SME capability for several Audit Readiness Services. Ability to train others on Audit Readiness Services. Potential Compliance Incident Investigation: identify root cause, establish facts, assess impact and risk, and draft language for regulator review. Mitigation Plan Support: draft regulator language, develop milestones including preventive efforts, and track progress with evidence of completion. Standard Implementation: work with impacted BU leadership to create and execute an implementation plan for new and revised standards. RSAW Development and Review: support BU compliance teams to review and/or develop narrative of compliance. Gap Analysis and Controls: assess BU processes’ ability to fulfill compliance requirements, identify failure points, suggest improvements, and execute second-level controls as needed. Evidence Pull Sheet Support: assist BU compliance experts to define evidence of compliance and to pull and review evidence on demand. RFI Response: collect SME responses to regulator RFIs. Senior Level
Education: Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, mathematics, communications, computer science, business, or related field; or an Associate\'s degree in one of the aforementioned fields and two (2) years of relevant work experience. Experience: five (5) years of experience in electric utility or similarly regulated industry, in addition to any experience above. Principal Level
Education: Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, mathematics, communications, computer science, business, or other related field; or an Associate\'s degree in one of the aforementioned fields and two (2) years of relevant work experience. Experience: seven (7) years of experience in electric utility or similarly regulated industry. Other Must Haves
Expertise on a family of NERC Standards SME understanding of BES definition and NERC applicability Ability to manage highest risk and/or most organizationally complex standards Understand relationship between NERC Standards, Regional Entities, and RTOs Proven ability to drive consensus between business units Hands-on experience with Business Unit systems and processes (preferred) Compensation and How to Apply
