Join Our Team as an Assistant Professor of Marketing! Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of marketing professionals? We're looking for an innovative and engaging educator to join our team as a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Marketing in our AAS/BBA Marketing programs. This position will have a Spring 2026 start date.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in an applied learning environment—bringing industry‑relevant skills, cutting‑edge marketing strategies, and hands‑on experience into the classroom. You'll play a key role in preparing students for success in today's fast‑paced marketing and advertising landscape.
Responsibilities
Teach lower and upper‑level marketing courses, covering both foundational and specialized topics.
Engage students in real‑world marketing applications, emphasizing e‑commerce, digital media, social platforms, websites, mobile marketing, and email campaigns.
Demonstrate and apply marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics/G4 or other data tracking software.
Collaborate with a dynamic team of business faculty and engage with interdisciplinary academic partners.
Qualifications
A strong background in digital marketing, e‑commerce, and social media strategies.
Experience in marketing analytics and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
A passion for teaching and mentoring students — prior teaching or training experience is highly preferred.
A commitment to innovation in marketing education and industry‑aligned learning experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing (or a related field) is required.
Candidates with an MBA in Marketing plus professional marketing certifications and 5+ years of industry experience will also be considered.
Teaching & Collaboration: We highly value team players who bring a variety of teaching interests and thrive in a collaborative academic environment.
Industry Expertise: Candidates should have recent exposure to digital marketing, e‑commerce, social media strategies, and marketing analytics, with the ability to bridge theory and practice in the classroom.
Preferred Qualifications
Small College Experience: Prior experience as a student or faculty member at a small, residential college is desirable. An understanding of the unique environment of a small college setting and a genuine enthusiasm for working in one is essential.
Innovative Instruction: Strong preference for candidates with experience in online and asynchronous teaching, especially in highly interactive, discussion‑based formats. Familiarity with innovative learning technologies and program delivery methods is a plus.
Benefits The starting salary for this position is $70,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
