Morrissey Engineering seeks a motivated and detail-oriented
Electrical Designer
to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about creating high-quality electrical designs for commercial construction projects. You’ll work closely with engineering principals, project managers, and fellow design professionals to bring innovative, energy-efficient building systems to life.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed electrical system design documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and other software tools.
Collaborate with internal teams and external design professionals on commercial building projects.
Review shop drawings, specifications, and construction correspondence.
Conduct job site visits for field investigations and documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Deliver high-level client service and support throughout all phases of a project.
Maintain organized, accurate project files and documentation.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting Technology or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and continuously improve technical and professional skills.
