Job Description
We are seeking a Certified Tax Preparer. You will be responsible for the effective management and profitable operation of your assigned branch office. Schedule: Monday-Friday HIRING ASAP! Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Accounting Degree or Accounting or Certified Public Accountant Must be able to work independently and as part of the team Must be able to work overtime hours during the busy season! Season Dates: February 1st- May 15th,2026 Previous experience in financial branch management, financial services, or other related fields Knowledge of common banking practices Strong leadership qualities Responsibilities
Financial Statement Preparation : Prepare financial statements for tax returns using client provided data, such as check stubs, bank statements, etc. In some instances, the preparation of an Excel trial balance will be sufficient. Tax Preparation : Prepare various federal and state tax returns, including business (C Corp, S-Corp, partnerships), individual, and trust tax returns. Identify additional items or information needed for return preparation and request from supervisor. File extensions as needed, generating payment vouchers and extension confirmations for distribution to clients. Maintain timely communication with supervisor regarding return status and timelines. Notify supervisor when documents are ready to be sent to clients. Document Management : Produce and organize Work Papers for each return prepared, including client prepared documents. Download copies of tax returns and documents for internal record retention and client documents, including tax returns, vouchers and E-File forms. Send and monitor e-file authorizations to clients using Adobe Sign or other secure methods.
