Navigator Recruiting's client is a locally owned CPA firm with 15-20 employees in Boulder, CO, experiencing excellent growth over the past 15 years. The firm specializes in tax returns for S Corporations, Partnerships, and Individuals, and also offers payroll and bookkeeping services. Most clients are small businesses with less than $5M in revenues. This role involves managing and growing client relationships, working with the bookkeeping team, and preparing tax returns and financial statements. The candidate will report to the owner and will have opportunities for client advisory services. Initially, work will be in-office 5 days/week, with potential for flexible remote work later. Prepare federal and multi-state tax returns for S Corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, C Corporations, trusts, estates, and foundations Oversee bookkeeping and prepare financial statements in QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) Identify and communicate tax planning strategies, conduct tax research, and document findings Manage day-to-day tax engagement activities for clients Research and consult on tax matters, utilizing tax software for return preparation and research Respond to inquiries from IRS, state, and other tax authorities Understand client operations and business objectives to inform engagement strategies Develop strong client relationships and collaborate with client management and staff Review tax return preparations and supervise staff, providing feedback and coaching Identify opportunities for process improvement in tax preparation and review Perform other duties as assigned Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA or EA designation required 5-10 years’ public accounting experience with tax compliance proficiency Experience with QuickBooks (Online and Desktop preferred) Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills with attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Lacerte is a plus Strong writing skills
