Job Title: Structural Welder (Pulse Arc)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder with expertise in Pulse Arc Welding to join our team. You would be responsible for welding on the next generation of the naval fleet, focusing on aircraft carriers and submarines.
Responsibilities
Perform multi-pass, all-position fillet and butt welds using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P processes. Utilize Air Carbon Arc Gouging effectively. Work in various environments including shipboard and sub-assemblies, adhering to OSHA regulations. Use fillet and butt weld gauges accurately. Successfully pass all position, multi-pass butt weld qualification tests as per MIL-STD-248D standards. Essential Skills
Four years of shipyard or naval shipbuilding welding experience. Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P welding processes. Ability to work in confined spaces and on ladders and staging. Familiarity with OSHA regulations in the shipbuilding industry. Location
Newport News, VA. $45 per hour and $140 per diem. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
