Responsibilities The Maintenance Manager impacts PSA Airlines' safety of our aircraft being over operation of the assigned maintenance facility. Ensuring that all aircraft has received proper maintenance in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR); to get our customers to their destinations safely and on time.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining aircraft, ground equipment and facilities as needed to meet airworthiness standards, operating schedules, appearance standards and cost objectives.
Demonstrates a safe and compliant work environment by complying with the Safety Policy and Procedures Manual and General Maintenance Manual policies and procedures as well as ensuring compliance of subordinates.
Submits manual revisions as required for any identified ineffective processes and/or procedures.
Ensure maintenance programs are followed during inspection and repair of aircraft.
Maintains local technical manuals and reference material in a current status.
Manages the maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification of aircraft, components, and related equipment.
Tracks the time life and scheduled maintenance items on company‑managed aircraft at the assigned location.
Monitors cancellation and delay reports, deferred maintenance items, and maintenance carryovers to ensure expeditious corrective actions.
Maintains contact with vendors to ensure adequate technical assistance is provided.
Communicates with vendors and manufacturer technical support personnel to minimize reliability delays and cancellations.
Ensures that all instructions pertinent to safety are properly observed and that all personnel at the station fully understand and comply with existing safety regulations.
Maintains maintenance records to FAA regulations on all aircraft at the assigned location.
Reviews maintenance performance against established procedures and standards.
Initiates and develops projects to improve performance of equipment and enable better performance of maintenance.
Recommends covering station personnel staffing level requirements.
Conducts employee performance reviews of aircraft maintenance personnel.
Performs inspections of shops and facility to ensure compliance with company policy.
Complies with applicable company policies, procedures and FARs.
Delegates duties as necessary, while retaining overall responsibility.
Responsible for the company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics Qualifications Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
Working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
Experience with management and administration of service contracts and agreements.
Must be able to obtain a passport or equivalent within 90 days of employment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, M&E.
Ability to speak/read/write in English.
If hired, must demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
Advanced technical degree in Engineering, Aviation, Business Administration, or related field.
At least five years of experience in the maintenance of large aircraft with at least two of those years in a supervisory position.
Experience with program management.
Additional Information Delegation:
In absence, responsibilities delegated to Director of Maintenance.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb up and down stairs, lift weight up to 25 lbs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
