GI Technician/Surgical Tech - Part Time

The Certified Surgical Tech will function under the direct supervision to service patients in the Endoscopy Lab. and provide direct and indirect technical assistance to the physician; performs a variety of duties to assist the team in care of patients during GI lab procedures.
Opportunity is for Part-time, 8 hour day shift with on-call and weekends
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Collaborates with other members of the health care team to resolve patient care problems and enhance care delivery.
2. Assists in the preparation for GI cases assuring that supplies, equipment, and instruments are available.
3. Assists the team in the transport, transfer, and positioning of patients in the procedure rooms.
4. Assists with the maintenance, care, and cleaning of equipment and work environment.
5. Assists with the collection of specimens per policy
6. Inspects scopes for damage and proper function.
7. Complies with all regulatory requirements, standards, and guidelines

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED
Completion of a Certified Surgical Technology Program
CPR Card required
A minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred
