Overview
Elementary Reading Interventionist role at Stride, Inc. This is a full-time, virtual position with some travel for professional development and testing. Start date ASAP. The Elementary Interventionist works with the “At-Risk” student population to provide remediation to support academic goals and increase growth. Stride K12 partners with Digital Academy of Florida (DAOF) to offer online and personalized education experiences for students. Responsibilities
Modify and/or adapt the K12 curriculum in alignment with state content standards to meet the unique needs of each student. Collaborate with general education teachers to meet the goals of targeted students through individualized and small group sessions. Educate parents on various instructional strategies. Ensure the implementation of the RTI instructional system to increase student achievement. Oversee data collection and progress monitoring at every tier; use data to plan instruction and guide teachers in identifying and grouping students who need additional help. Collect and maintain RTI data (lists of eligible students, intervention plans). Serve as a daily resource to school administrators, leadership teams, and other stakeholders regarding RTI issues. Collaborate with homeroom teachers, advisors, counselors, and district personnel to coordinate and track Tier 2 interventions. Provide ongoing training and support to school/district staff regarding RTI and data collection procedures. Support teachers in documenting student progress. Work with the special education team to facilitate eligibility for special education. Travel up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Active state teaching license Ability to clear required background check Other Required Qualifications
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers to interpret and use data to drive instructional decisions. Receptive to coaching from administrators and teacher trainers. Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms. Maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum. Desired Qualifications
Experience with the proposed age group. Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology. Experience teaching online and/or in brick-and-mortar environments. Experience with online learning platforms. Additional Details
Salary: $47,500 with opportunity for an annual bonus. Residency: Florida. Start Date: ASAP. Work environment: This position is virtual with some required travel for professional development and testing. Typical work hours are approximately 9-5 or 8-4, or as defined by the school. Equal Opportunity
