Job Summary

Hourly Research Assistants This position works within the ASCENT Center for Reproductive Health. The Research Assistant supports research participant enrollment and follow‑up in multi‑site clinical research trials. Responsibilities include organization of research data, support of study team staff in record review, research compensation management, and research supply inventory.

This position is patient‑sensitive and must fulfill all associated vaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior to the first day of work. We protect our patients, coworkers and community by requiring all patient‑sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy.

Responsibilities

Collect and compile data from a variety of sources; entry into various sources including RedCap research database.

Review inclusion/exclusion criteria; clarify concerns and questions with Principal Investigator and Research Coordinator.

Attend and participate in Investigator and staff meetings. Meet required study assignments and timeliness.

Explain and obtain informed consent, medical history and demographics information. Document in source file and maintain historical data, status reports, progress notes, and subject log to help ensure subject safety.

Determine length of visits and coordinate related facility availability.

Report and track adverse events (AE). Report serious AEs to IRB and sponsor.

Support documentation of all protocol deviations.

Track participant research study visit and compensation / track survey follow‑up completion.

Assist with preparation of IRB and submission of IRB documents.

May ensure proper collection, processing and shipment of specimens.

This position requires travel between enrolling clinical sites in the Salt Lake Area. Mileage reimbursement is provided. Transportation required.
