Role Overview Lead the global strategy, operations, and expansion of AWS Skills Centers worldwide, driving AWS's mission to build a pipeline of future AI and Cloud builders. AWS Skills Centers are free, in‑person training locations operated by AWS Training & Certification, offering fundamental cloud education and AI training to the public in fixed locations. These centers specifically target new‑to‑tech learners, career‑changers, students, and community organizations, making cloud and AI education accessible to all. Through classroom instruction and interactive experiences, Skills Centers guide learners toward industry certifications, continued learning through AWS, and connections with the broader cloud community to support their career development journey.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the global strategic vision for AWS Skills Centers, aligned with AWS's broader T&C Future Builder Program goals

Develop scalable frameworks for Skills Center expansion through partner sponsorships and collaborations

Create and maintain strategic relationships with key external stakeholders, including government officials, educational institutions, and community leaders

Create and maintain strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders, including AWS T&C, AWS Public Sector, AWS Social Responsibility & Impact, and other Amazon teams

Drive innovation in skills training delivery, particularly in cloud computing and AI technologies

Lead operational oversight of multiple AWS Skills Centers, ensuring consistent delivery of high‑quality training experiences

Establish and maintain operational standards, KPIs, and success metrics across all locations

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and operational efficiency

Manage complex budgets and resource allocation across multiple sites

Lead and develop a diverse team including site leaders, technical trainers, and technical program managers

Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and operational excellence

Drive talent acquisition and development strategies for Skills Center staff

Ensure alignment between team goals and broader AWS objectives

Guide the development and implementation of training curricula and programs

Oversee the integration of new technologies and training methodologies

Lead the strategy for cloud and GenAI experience spaces within Skills Centers

Drive initiatives to measure and improve program impact and outcomes

Develop and maintain relationships with key AWS stakeholders and leadership

Create partnership frameworks for Skills Center expansion

Engage with community leaders and organizations to ensure programs meet local needs

Represent AWS Skills Centers in public forums and industry events

About the Team AWS Global Services includes experts from across AWS who help our customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. Customers innovate with AWS Professional Services, upskill with AWS Training and Certification, optimize with AWS Support and Managed Services, and meet objectives with AWS Security Assurance Services. Our expertise and emerging technologies include AWS Partners, AWS Sovereign Cloud, AWS International Product, and the Generative AI Innovation Center. You’ll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.

Basic Qualifications

12+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience

6+ years of team management experience

Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition

Experience with end‑to‑end product delivery

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience engaging and influencing senior executives

Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
