Sun Atlas Power (Sales Division) – Sales Manager
Sun Atlas Power is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and grow a high‑performing inside sales team responsible for generating residential solar sales through multiple acquisition channels. This role will manage call center–based sales teams, inbound and outbound lead funnels while helping shape the company’s customer acquisition strategy. The Sales Manager will play a direct role in mentorship, performance management, process development, and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop sales teams: Recruit, train, motivate and manage teams of solar sales representatives operating in a call center and virtual environment. Provide coaching on consultative selling, objection handling and pipeline conversion strategies. Establish and enforce sales discipline, accountability, and performance standards.
Drive sales performance: Develop sales targets, manage daily KPIs, and monitor conversion metrics across all lead channels. Implement improvement strategies to increase close rates, average ticket value, and customer satisfaction.
Manage sales channels and funnels: Oversee multiple sales pipelines including inbound leads, outbound campaigns, partner leads, digital marketing leads and referrals. Ensure timely follow‑up, lead prioritization and CRM data accuracy.
Engage customers directly: Serve as a senior sales resource capable of handling complex customer conversations, high‑value deals, escalations, and contract approvals. Demonstrate mastery of the solar value proposition, financing options, system design fundamentals and the installation process.
Collaborate cross‑functionally: Work with Marketing, Project Operations, Finance, Engineering and Executive Leadership to align sales strategy with operational capacity, market priorities and company objectives. Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth customer handoffs post‑sale.
Refine sales process and systems: Maintain clean pipeline reporting in CRM systems, improve workflow efficiency and reinforce a structured sales process. Develop scripts, cadences, sales tools and training materials that elevate team results.
Ensure compliance and ethics: Uphold Sun Atlas Power’s standards of transparency, integrity and honest communication. Ensure all sales practices adhere to company policies, utility guidelines and state regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned: Including market strategy development, team scaling initiatives, partner management and leadership contributions to Sun Atlas Power’s growth.

Qualifications
3+ years of solar industry experience in sales or sales operations (required)
2+ years of sales leadership or team management experience (preferred)
Proven track record in closing deals and managing sales pipelines
Experience using CRM and dialer platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
Strong understanding of solar finance options (loan, PPA, lease) and utility programs
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Call center management or virtual sales experience a strong plus
