Our client, a dynamic and growing PR agency specializing in financial services is seeking a Media Relations professional at the AE-AS level to join their New York-based team. This is a hybrid role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about media strategy and storytelling.
Responsibilities
Lead and support media relations programs for a portfolio of financial services clients, including asset managers, fintechs, and institutional investors.
Develop strategic media plans and pitch compelling stories to top-tier business, financial, and trade media.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists and editors.
Draft and edit press releases, media alerts, messaging documents, and bylined content.
Monitor media coverage and provide actionable insights and counsel to clients.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated communications strategies.
Qualifications
2-6 years of relevant PR experience, preferably within an agency or financial services environment.
Demonstrated success securing high-impact media coverage in outlets such as Bloomberg, CNBC, WSJ, Reuters, and other top-tier publications.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a collaborative approach to client service.
