Director of Public Relations (Reporting directly to CEO)
This role is for a senior communications leader at a publicly traded Tampa‑based consumer brand portfolio, seeking to drive national visibility across business media platforms. It is a remote position based in New York with travel to Tampa.
Location and Travel Remote – must live in New York; travel to Tampa required.
Compensation Base pay: $180,000 – $250,000 per year.
Employment Type Full‑time.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute an integrated media strategy aligned with quarterly earnings, product launches, and crypto initiatives.
Manage external agencies and coordinate media outreach.
Proactively pitch stories to top‑tier outlets (CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox Business, Yahoo Finance, leading podcasts) to secure consistent executive visibility.
Manage relationships with journalists, producers, and editors across financial, tech, and consumer verticals.
Create executive talking points and thought leadership content.
Collaborate with internal marketing to amplify exposure across digital channels.
Qualifications
15 years of experience, including work in a public company.
Strong media contacts and full in‑house communications experience.
Proven track record of placements in national business media.
Comfort working directly with C‑suite leadership.
Experience in financial PR, public company communications, and crypto market narratives is highly preferred.
