JR4560STV’s **Houston, TX location is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Specialist** for our Water Practice Group. You’ll provide the ability to contribute immediately to Water and Wastewater (W/WW) project development and execution of varying sizes as part of a growing office.As an Engineering Specialist, you’ll actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. In this position you will perform design engineering tasks to support the Project Team in the execution and delivery of water and wastewater facility and linear projects.In this position, you’ll work under the supervision of the Houston Water Group Manager. Familiarity with and/or the ability and desire to use production tools, and modeling software are a plus.**Principal Duties and Responsibilities:*** Perform technical engineering design and calculation on Water/Wastewater Infrastructure projects.* Perform engineering duties in planning and designing water and wastewater conveyance systems.* Perform engineering duties in the planning and design of water and wastewater facility projects such as pump stations, lift stations, and treatment plants.* Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.* Perform pump calculations and develop system curves for sizing pumps.* Prepare construction and design opinions of probable construction costs (OPCCs).* Production of contract documents including plans, specifications and bid forms.* Responsible for or willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects.* Make site visits during design and construction to observe the construction installation.* Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents.**Here’s What You’ll Need:*** Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent.* EIT Certification, or successful completion of the FE Exam.* Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design preferred.* Ability to work and communicate well will other design disciplines.* Possess strong organizational and time management skills.* Ability to work independently.* Strong oral and written communication skills.* Experience with Water/Wastewater Infrastructure design.* Experience working with local municipalities and utility companies.* Familiarity with production tools, or modeling and design software is a plus.Compensation Range:$67,936.61 - $90,582.14STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (16 days) • Paid Holidays (8 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
