has an immediate, direct- hire opportunity open for a Technical Support Engineer at our service center in Virginia Beach, Virginia!

This is not an information technology (IT) position.

The Technical Support Engineer will provide technical expertise for industrial vacuum equipment solutions. The pre- and post-sales support is provided to field service engineers, service technicians, sales engineers, in-house sales, and company customers who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing complex electro/mechanical equipment.

Job Responsibilities

Daily interaction with external and internal customers to provide basic mechanical/technical support for our industrial equipment

Handle all incoming and outgoing calls, emails, and other requests for service, technical and warranty support

Promptly respond to customer requests and act as a liaison between the customer and internal departments including Sales, Engineering, and Operations

Proactively support the customer to resolve technical problems quickly, requests for field support, service, or warranty inquiries

Follow internal processes for warranty claim handling and other processes, as they apply to the team and/or job function

Document customer activity, interaction, problems, and resolutions in the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Coordinate efforts and assist Regional Sales Managers, Field Service Specialists, and Sales Channel Partners with basic technical support

Provide feedback to internal departments on product-related issues

Required Experience

3 plus years of inside sales, service, customer service or mechanical/technical support: Required

Associate degree (two-year college or technical school): Preferred

Field of Study: Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related: Preferred

Computer skills: Intermediate knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems: Preferred

Personal Qualifications

Must be detail, safety and customer-oriented

Must have a high mechanical/technical aptitude and the ability to learn complex mechanical/technical equipment

Basic electrical knowledge is highly preferred

Must be very organized, have sound decision-making ability, and display good judgment

Must have excellent listening, oral and written English communication skills

Job Requirements

Ability and willingness to pass a 9-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check

Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPEMust maintain a valid driver’s license for the duration of employment

Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship; Busch does not sponsor.

Physical Requirements

Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs

Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs

Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs

All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
