The Manufacturing Technology team is part of the Global Technical Services organization and is committed to delivering manufacturing breakthroughs, product initiatives, cost savings, and supply assurance projects with excellence. As part of the GTS organization, you will directly connect to championing both the consumer and your teammates to be well and thrive every day. Global Technical Services is at the forefront of delivering the next generation high-speed packaging lines, enabling sustainable packaging, or designing a new plant, ready to meet the business challenges head-on.
As Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and supporting them as they execute capital projects across the enterprise. You will also ensure Clorox engineering standards and best practices are maintained, Clorox engineering principles and early management tools are followed and assist in the management of the department admin budget. Our goal is to deliver reliable equipment, infrastructure, and integrations that exceed startup and safety targets and help the company grow top and bottom lines.**In this role, you will:*** Interface with the business unit (BU) Technical Leaders to understand BU strategies and capital investment plans* Lead a team of Manufacturing Technology Engineers* Provide technical knowledge on evolving capabilities within both the industry and the technology so that the business unit can maintain its relative competitive position in the marketplace.* Provide technical leadership to project teams.* Anticipate changing resource requirements, business priorities, results and initiate appropriate responses in a way that optimizes overall project results.* Make effective presentations of technical material to non-technical people, both written and verbal. Able to build and lead effective work teams for midsize to large programs.* Drives use of the engineering discipline so that it causes significant shifts in our manufacturing processes.* Deliver fully integrated human, operational and technical systems that achieve targeted business results. Can evaluate, develop and lead a project from the technical, operational, and business perspectives.* Able to follow and champion the Capital Project Management process. Capable of following a disciplined process approach utilizing the One-Right-Way process to ensure vertical system startups.* Interpersonal and technical skills earn respect and are recognized throughout the Clorox network. Continually builds networks in both the Clorox and external communities to more broadly influence the organization.* Proactive in dealing with confrontation and delivering win-win solutions for the business.* Manage schedule, finances, and resources to meet stakeholder Clorox business objectives* Works independently to coordinate own and others' activities while networking with key contacts outside of the discipline.* Champions and maintain Clorox standards and practices for the rest of the technical community* Leads programs and initiatives needed to improve the technical area through Communities of Practice.* Travel is required 25-50% depending upon project activity and resource needs**What we look for:*** 15+ years of industrial engineering experience* 5+ years of people leadership experience, including managing direct reports and budgets* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred) from an accredited institution, MS, MBA, or higher degree desired* Manufacturing maintenance or engineering experience with a strong foundation in technical problem-solving* Experience providing technical guidance in both plant and corporate environments* Applications experience preferred: AutoCAD, MS Project, SAP, 3D design and modeling tools* Advanced technical knowledge in area of expertise; recognized as a subject matter expert and maintains a strong external professional network* Proven track record leading complex projects through a PMMI or Stage Gate based process and implementing new technologies#LI-HYBRID**Workplace type:**Hybrid - 3 days in office
