Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead legal advisor for EPC-related matters and agreements Draft, review, and negotiate complex EPC contracts and other commercial agreements Provide legal support throughout the full project lifecycle—from development to operations Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks in construction and infrastructure projects Support issue resolution on warranty claims, liens, schedule impacts, force majeure, and scope changes Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure business goals are achieved within legal and compliance parameters Monitor evolving laws and regulations impacting EPC transactions and proactively address risks Develop and deliver internal training on EPC-related legal and compliance matters Support the implementation of internal legal policies and process improvements
Qualifications:
JD from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership Minimum of 10 years of experience as a commercial attorney with a strong focus on EPC transactions Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating EPC agreements and supporting major capital projects Solid understanding of construction-related commercial issues and regulatory compliance Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Ability to balance legal risk with business strategy in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors is preferred Commitment to pro bono or community-oriented legal work is a plus
