$130,000 - $150,000 Our client, a well-respected organization in Kern County, CA, is seeking a
Controller
to oversee their accounting and finance operations. This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to manage financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic financial planning. Responsibilities: Manage all accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, and payroll Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and preparation of financial statements Develop, monitor, and report on budgets, forecasts, and financial performance Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and applicable regulations Implement and maintain internal controls and process improvements Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights for decision-making Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with prior Controller experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 Comprehensive benefits package Leadership role within a respected organization in Kern County
