Our client, a continually growing organization, is seeking a skilled and proactive Inventory Accountant with a strong background in inventory accounting to support our financial operations and help drive strategic insights across the business. The Inventory Accountant will play a key role in managing core accounting functions while taking ownership of inventory related processes, including costing, margin analysis, and reconciliation across multiple locations. This role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise and operational insight. The Inventory Accountant will be hybrid after training in Franklin, TN.
Salary up to $85,000 Responsibilities of the Inventory Accountant: Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations with a focus on inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) Analyze inventory margins, cost variances, and trends to support financial reporting and business decisions Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to improve inventory tracking and costing methodologies Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including inventory-related accruals and adjustments Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation Qualifications of the Inventory Accountant: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant exposure to inventory accounting Strong understanding of inventory costing methods and margin analysis Experience working in a multi-location or multi-entity environment Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
