Senior Tax Accountant - Indirect Tax & Compliance

We're looking for a seasoned

Senior Tax Accountant

with strong expertise in

Sales & Use Tax , multi-jurisdictional compliance, and tax payment management. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in managing recurring tax processes, quarterly estimates, and filing deadlines. You'll collaborate closely with internal leadership and external advisors, gaining visibility across the organization while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation, filing, and payment of

Sales & Use Tax returns

across multiple entities and jurisdictions Review transactional data to confirm accurate tax coding and exemption handling per state and local regulations Manage quarterly and annual

estimated income tax payments , including forecasting, documentation, and timely submissions Reconcile tax accounts and maintain organized schedules for accruals, prepayments, and payments Stay current on state and local tax laws, including nexus changes, rate updates, and filing requirements Coordinate with external CPA firms on federal, state, and local compliance, including audit support Address and resolve tax notices and inquiries from government agencies Maintain and enhance the

tax compliance calendar

to ensure timely filings Collaborate with

Accounts Payable and Accounting

teams to verify Sales & Use Tax accuracy on purchases and vendor invoices Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities using tools like

Avalara, Vertex, or OneSource

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Accounting, Finance , or a related field 4-6+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on

Sales & Use Tax

and compliance Solid understanding of

multi-state Sales & Use Tax regulations

and filing procedures Experience managing

quarterly estimated payments

and annual returns Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively Salary Range:
