$110,000-$120,000 base + 15% bonus + full benefits About the Settlements Senior Accountant Opportunity: Comprehensive health/vision/dental & 401(k) with 4% match High-visibility role reporting direct to management Significant career path: succession planning as company scales Direct impact: integrate new power plant & settlements operations Room to own, build, and shape accounting processes Houston energy and power trading; leverage and learn ERCOT/ISO systems Key Responsibilities of the Settlements Senior Accountant: Lead power settlement processes (ERCOT/ISO): daily/weekly reconciliation, identify variances Own month-end close, GL, and accounts payable; hands-on across all tasks Document, refine, and cross-train settlement procedures; act as main process owner Support dual-entity accounting (main OpCo + JV); coordinate with operations and finance Help transition accounting in-house from outsourced provider Preferred Qualifications: Power/energy accounting with ISO settlements (ERCOT or other ISO experience) Full-cycle GL and AP; ERP system exposure (NetSuite or peer) Proven ability to drive work independently in lean/startup settings
