Overview
PAGNY and Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) have an opportunity for a Healthcare Recruiter to support Correctional Health Services (CHS), which is part of NYC Health + Hospitals, the largest public health system in the United States. This opportunity will support the staffing needs at Rikers Island in the Bronx, New York's largest correctional facility.

Objectives of this role
- Work closely with managers to understand the company's hiring needs for every role and to meet competitive hiring goals and expectations.
- Manage full recruiting across a variety of open roles, helping managers find, hire, and retain quality candidates.
- Foster high-touch relationships using a database of qualified candidates to choose from when positions become open.
- Partner with recruiting team and senior managers to design, refine, and implement innovative recruitment strategies.
- Remain active with job boards, social networks, and platforms for finding quality candidates, and create and post job descriptions and announcements.
Responsibilities
- Aches staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates.
- Determine applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and qualifications.
- Screen resumes and CVs, analyze responses, verify references, and compare qualifications to job requirements.
- Develop relationships with managers to understand departments, hiring needs, and job specifications.
- Utilize multiple recruiting sources and implement innovative strategies to find quality candidates and prospect for new business.
- Screen resumes and manage candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Provide recruitment reports to team managers.
- Post vacancies on recruitment platforms and career boards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, universities, and residency/fellowship programs for assigned areas.
- Post jobs and organize resumes and applications on career boards and email inboxes.
- Manage email campaigns, job fairs (internal and external), open houses, employee referral programs, and other events.
- Proactively recruit both active and passive candidates.
- May perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing, business, or other health-related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources or recruitment in a healthcare environment.
- Proven skills in evaluating candidates with excellent judgement.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- High attention to detail with ability to maintain standards under deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize, and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
