Accounting ClerkLHH is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our client’s accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, as well as providing critical support during the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $21 and $27/hr. Responsibilities:

The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy.
- Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with weekly check runs and ACH payments.
- Generate and send customer invoices.
- Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of receivables and aging reports.
- Assist in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules.
- Help ensure all transactions are recorded in the correct period.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to meet reporting deadlines.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred but not required
- 1–3 years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
