Overview of Role The Senior Manager, Global Tax is a key role in the company’s corporate tax function, ensuring compliance with all domestic and international tax regulations while developing and implementing effective tax planning strategies. As a sole contributor, the Senior Manager, Global Tax will be working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure our company is in compliance with all relevant tax filings, provisions and laws.
Role and Responsibilities
Oversee the U.S. Federal, state, and international tax compliance processes, including income tax filings, estimated tax payments, and audits
Manage the preparation and review of the income tax provision calculations for the quarterly and annual consolidated U.S. GAAP financial statements
Manage the preparation and review of the U.S. and international income tax calculations for payments of estimated tax and filing of the annual tax returns
Collaborate with external tax advisors and internal business teams on the design and implementation of domestic and international tax planning strategies
Review transfer pricing calculations/arrangements on a quarterly/annual basis as needed
Work with accounting to support/review annual statutory tax provision calculations as needed
Manage the Company’s international VAT and other indirect tax exposure and oversee compliance activities
Lead R&D tax credit study
Monitor all tax operations to ensure their timely completion and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Support intercompany distribution planning, providing guidance on the U.S. tax implications of global cash movements
Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s degree is required
Minimum 7 years of tax experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent corporate tax department experience
Technical proficiency with the preparation of US Federal and state income tax returns and global income tax provisions required
Experience with US international tax computations (GILTI, Sub-F, etc.) and compliance (Forms 5471, 8858, etc.), international tax, and transfer pricing highly desired
Experience with international indirect taxes, including VAT and GST taxes, desired but not required.
Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
The pay range for this role is $168,500 – $198,500 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation.
