Echocardiology Education Coordinator – Froedtert Hospital

Location: Milwaukee, WI – Froedtert Hospital. FTE: 1.00. Standard hours: 40.00 per week. Shift: 1. Monday through Friday. Position will work at multiple sites.
Job Summary Plans, develops, coordinates, and implements orientation, continuing education, competency and training programs for all sonographers within the Echocardiology Department. Works with the Department Manager and Medical Director to ensure regulatory and ICAEL compliance during orientation, and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum six years as an Echocardiographer in a large academic medical center is required; previous leadership experience is preferred. Minimum two years of prior teaching experience is preferred.
Education: One of the following is required:
Bachelor’s degree not related to CAAHEP/CMA accredited program or a Bachelor’s Degree in Ultrasonography, vascular technology, or a minor in some aspect of ultrasound not accredited to offer echocardiology.
Graduate of a 2‑year CAAHEP or CMA approved Cardiac Ultrasound Technology Program.
Licensure: RDCS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) required within 90 days of hire; AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
