Vice President of Finance and Accounting About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Vice President of Finance and Accounting to lead all financial functions of a growing, vertically integrated real estate investment and operating company. This executive will oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax compliance, insurance, lender relationships, and internal controls, while serving as a core member of the executive team. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and operational finance acumen with executive presence, the ability to build and lead teams, and a proven track record of scaling systems and driving performance in high-growth, asset-intensive environments.

This is a succession-track position with a clear pathway to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) based on demonstrated impact, leadership, and strategic contribution.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Organizational Finance

Lead and mentor the Accounting teams to create a high-performance, accountable, and solutions-oriented function

Collaborate with other departments (Property & Asset Management, Investment, Development, Investor Relations) to align financial operations with company-wide goals

Act as a strategic thought partner to the leadership, contributing to capital planning, risk mitigation, and enterprise-level decision making

Serve as a senior financial liaison to lenders, investors, legal counsel, and external audit/tax advisors

Accounting & Reporting

Oversee all accounting operations across properties, operating companies, holding companies, and development entities

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of GAAP-compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness, including supervision of all audit-related deliverables

Lead financial system upgrades and ERP improvements (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks, Excel models)

Treasury, Lender Relations & Capital Oversight

Manage liquidity across all entities; produce cash flow forecasts and maintain adequate working capital

Supervise A/R, A/P, and capital call/distribution workflows across all business lines

Administer all existing lender relationships, including compliance reporting, loan draws, debt service, and covenant monitoring. Support on developing new banking relationships.

Support capital planning, fund structuring, and balance sheet optimization initiatives

Insurance

Support on all aspects of corporate and property-level insurance program management

Support on renewals, policy placement, broker relationships, risk assessments, and claims tracking

Ensure coverage aligns with lender requirements, development milestones, and operational risk exposure

Tax, Compliance & Payroll

Oversee tax planning and compliance in coordination with third-party CPA firms

Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory filings

Oversee payroll operations and ensure multi-entity payroll execution is timely and accurate

Ensure Opportunity Zone compliance and track project eligibility with legal/tax counsel

Strategic Finance & FP&A

Lead annual budgeting and reforecasting processes across departments and entities

Deliver actionable, data-driven financial insights to support investment decisions and corporate strategy

Partner with Asset Management on NAV updates, internal valuations, and fund performance modeling

Support capital project pro formas and development underwriting from a financial structuring perspective

Required Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience in real estate finance and accounting, preferably in vertically integrated or institutional real estate platforms

Demonstrated leadership of multi-entity and multi-line finance organizations, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and insurance

Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, cash flow management, internal controls, and lender compliance

Strong command of Excel, Yardi, QuickBooks, and enterprise reporting tools

Practical understanding of real estate development, property operations, and construction workflows

Track record of building and leading high-performing teams, with clear experience managing, training, and mentoring accounting and finance staff

Strong executive communication skills and a track record of successful collaboration with CEOs, founders, and capital partners

High integrity, strong business judgment, and the ability to operate with both strategic oversight and day-to-day execution when necessary

A roll‑up‑your‑sleeves mindset with the confidence to own and improve complex financial operations in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required; Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or MBA strongly preferred

Active U.S. CPA required; Big Four public accounting experience highly preferred

$225,000 – $250,000 cash comp

Potential Equity participation in the ArtHaus OpCo
