Anesthesiologist - Long Island Ambulatory Surgery Center - Full Time
Full position in Brentwood, NY at a state‑of‑the‑art ambulatory surgery center providing outpatient surgery. All work with no on‑call; weekday shifts 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. with after‑hours overtime compensation.
Position Overview Work in a high‑volume ASC with 2 operating rooms. Great work/life balance, opportunity to train in ophthalmology and peribulbar block techniques. Primarily ophthalmology procedures; comfort with peribulbar blocks preferred.
Responsibilities
Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
Medical management of patients undergoing anesthesia, including pre‑anesthesia assessment and obtaining/confirming patient consent.
Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and plan with the patient.
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
Continuous monitoring of physiological condition during procedures.
Perform clinical interventions as needed.
Requirements
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
ECFMG and FLEX certification.
Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia.
Active physician license.
