Job Summary We are seeking a new APP to join our Neuro-Interventional Team. Specifically, the right candidate will join the newly reorganized Lumbar Puncture Service provided through Neuro-Interventional Radiology (NIR). The position will be housed in the Department of Neurosurgery and will involve partnering with another APP on the LP Service under direct supervision by the Director of NIR. Responsibilities include performing inpatient consultations for requests for LPs, identification of patients and screening, and performance of both bedside LPs and fluoro‑guided LPs.
Responsibilities
Perform inpatient consultations for requests for lumbar punctures (LPs).
Identify and screen patients for LP procedures.
Perform bedside LPs and fluoroscopy‑guided LPs.
Provide care as part of the Neuro‑Interventional Team.
Shift Monday through Friday, 7:30am to approximately 4:00pm. Candidates should be prepared to take
‘from‑home’
call on 2 Saturdays per month (average), with low likelihood of requirement to physically come in on Saturdays.

Requirements
Education: MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants.
Required Related Experience: 1 year.
License/Registration/Certification: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP) or Physician Assistant‑Certified (PA‑C).
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No.
