About the role:
Boston Scientific is looking for a highly motivated Process Engineer II to join our fast‑growing team. In this role, you'll use your technical skills and passion for innovation to drive the commercialization of new products and improvements. You'll work hands‑on to solve complex problems in a fast‑paced, global environment. This position involves cross‑functional collaboration to improve and commercialize new and existing TCAR (Transcarotid Artery Revascularization) technology, supporting process development across Boston Scientific’s global plant network.
The role follows a fully onsite work model requiring employees to be in our local offices five (5) days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assess process capabilities and implement process improvements on platform or derivative projects
Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling, and/or automation
Support functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems
Write clean and concise work instructions that can be understood by product builders
Own/contribute to technical reports, validations, and qualifications by capturing experimental results
Complete proper documentation to meet quality systems requirements (e.g. TMVs, PRAs, FMEA's, etc.)
Write validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes
Prepare and present technical data and recommendations at technical and business reviews using statistical best practices
Oversee development builds associated with the project using special work requests
Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package
Partner cross‑functionally to develop design specifications, test methods, and material selection
Provide work organization to technicians and engineers and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of prototype line development and validation
May serve as core team member or extended team member on new product development projects
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
Minimum of 2 years of professional engineering experience relevant to this role
Hands‑on mechanical aptitude
Demonstrated engineering fundamentals (LEAN, DFM, etc.) and problem‑solving skills
Demonstrated cross functional teamwork
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience in medical device industry
Must be able to provide own, reliable transportation to commute effectively between Maple Grove sites (Weaver Lake and Arbor Lakes facilities)
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Materials Science
Previous Boston Scientific experience
Experience in New Product Development
Demonstrated understanding and usage of statistics to drive improvements; proficiency in Minitab
Ability to schedule out timelines with specific milestones to achieve and demonstrated success
Interest in project management or leadership
Open to travel (domestic and international) up to 10% of time
Salary: Minimum Salary:
$69,500
Maximum Salary:
$132,000
