Assistant Middle School Girls Wrestling Coach

Position Summary:
Lincoln County School District #1 is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach to support our growing middle school wrestling program. The assistant coach will work closely with the lead coach to develop athletes' skills, promote a positive and inclusive team environment, and help guide student-athletes both on and off the mat.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about wrestling and mentoring middle school girls in a competitive yet supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head Coach in organizing and conducting daily practices.
Assist with teaching wrestling fundamentals, techniques, and conditioning.
Provide individual and group instruction tailored to various skill levels.
Supervise athletes during practices, matches, and travel when required.
Help manage equipment, uniforms, and match-day logistics.
Foster a team culture centered around respect, effort, and growth.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff.
Uphold school and district athletic policies and expectations.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of wrestling rules, safety protocols, and coaching techniques.
Experience in wrestling as a coach or athlete preferred.
Ability to work effectively with middle school students.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must pass background check per district policy.
Valid PTSB coaching license or willingness to obtain within one year.
