Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team at Kemmerer Junior Senior High School as a full-time CTE (Career and Technical Education) Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore various career paths and develop essential skills that will prepare them for future employment or further education. This position requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, promoting hands‑on experiences, and collaborating with local businesses and community organizations to enhance educational opportunities.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and CTE curriculum.

Teach a variety of CTE subjects

Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and critical thinking.

Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing timely feedback to support their growth.

Collaborate with colleagues to integrate CTE programs with academic subjects and promote interdisciplinary learning.

Establish partnerships with local businesses and organizations to provide students with real‑world experiences, internships, and job shadowing opportunities.

Stay current with industry trends and advancements to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and effective.

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of CTE best practices.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and program initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Career and Technical Education, or a related field.

Valid PTSB teaching certification in CTE.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and community partners.

Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.

Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about industry changes.
