$121,300 – $169,500 (target midpoint $145,000) Remote First:

We’re looking for a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our fully remote team. You’ll report to the Engineering Manager and work with a small team of four engineers. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining our cutting‑edge cloud infrastructure. Roughly 60% of your time will focus on DevOps responsibilities (CI/CD pipelines and reliability) and 40% on hands‑on programming to enhance performance and bridge the gap between development and operations. Front‑End:

Terraform What You’ll Be Doing
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery. Improve our core application (C# and Ruby), enhancing thread safety, performance, and SQL queries. Lead the migration from AWS to Azure. Implement and uphold security best practices across the platform. Enhance observability, availability, and containerization strategies. Mentor other engineers on secure use of the platform and its tools. Participate in low‑frequency on‑call rotations (typically one week every 4–6 weeks). Ensure the infrastructure meets scalability, reliability, and high‑availability needs. Key Projects You'll Tackle
Performance & Scalability:
Implement Karpenter for autoscaling, migrate web servers from Unicorn to Puma, adopt YJIT for Ruby. Cost Optimization:
Optimize cloud resource costs post‑migration. Enhanced Monitoring:
Deploy next‑generation monitoring and observability solutions. Azure Security:
Strengthen Azure environment security posture. Must Have Skills
At least 5 years of DevOps engineering experience with a focus on cloud infrastructure and automation. Minimum 2 years of Kubernetes production experience. Strong programming proficiency; preferred C# or Ruby. Solid relational database knowledge (PostgreSQL preferred) and SQL query optimization. Infrastructure-as-Code expertise with Terraform. Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure preferred). Experience with Azure compute services (Virtual Machines, AKS, Functions). Understanding of Azure storage, networking, and security tools (Blob, VNet, Load Balancers, Security Center, Key Vault, Azure AD). CI/CD pipeline design with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc. Strong Linux shell scripting (Bash) skills. Monitoring and observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic, ELK stack. NGINX experience as a web server, reverse proxy, or load balancer. Excellent problem‑solving and proactive remote communication. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Microsoft certifications (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate) or CKA. Experience with application security tooling (SAST/DAST) in a cloud environment. Prior experience with AWS and Azure, especially during migrations. Familiarity with Cloudflare network tools.
