Motion Recruitment Partners LLC
This position is with a growing software company in Phoenix that is building out its cloud engineering team and looking for a full time AWS DevOps Engineer. They’re modernizing their infrastructure and moving toward a full automated, scalable setup using tools like Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and a mix of serverless AWS services. It’s a hands on role where you’d get to own CI/CD pipelines, streamline deployments, and really shape how their cloud environments run.
This is a great spot for someone who loves variety, collaboration, and seeing their work make an impact. The team moves quickly, values new ideas, and gives a lot of autonomy to their engineers. You’d be part of a tight knit group that’s modernizing systems from the ground up. If you enjoy solving real infrastructure challenges and want to grow in a place that invests in both people and tech this role is for you.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years working in cloud engineering or DevOps, 4+ years specifically in AWS

Good understanding of networking, VPCs, LB, NAT, security groups, and IAM best practices
Familiarity with observability stacks (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)
Comfort owning incidents and driving reliability work across teams
Excellent communication — you’ll explain technical tradeoffs to PMs and engineers
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with edge devices or IoT deployments in production
Background in Kubernetes operators, custom controllers, or Helm charts
Knowledge of database operations (RDS, Aurora, Redis) and migrations
