Confidential The Global Sourcing Director will serve as a strategic business partner to Unimed’s leadership team, driving a global procurement vision that delivers optimum value to the business. This role is responsible for designing and executing sourcing strategies that ensure high unit fill rates, minimize inventory levels, and reduce total landed costs through fact-based negotiations, performance-based contracting, and leveraging low-cost sourcing options. Leading an international team of sourcing professionals, the Director will build and develop organizational capability, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The role requires building senior-level relationships with key regional and global suppliers, optimizing supplier performance, and ensuring alignment with Unimed’s business objectives across all regions and spend categories, including commercial and indirect goods and services. This leader will also drive cross-regional collaboration to bundle spend, standardize procurement processes, and fully leverage preferred suppliers globally, while maintaining compliance with corporate policies and achieving geographic stakeholder alignment. As a key talent magnet, the Director will attract, develop, and retain high-performing sourcing professionals committed to innovation, efficiency, and delivering measurable business impact. REQUIREMENTS Operate as a strategic business partner to the leadership team. Develops good buying processes using internal and external tools to maintain high unit fill rates while minimizing inventory levels. Develop and lead department to support the needs of the organization to achieve their business objectives through proper selection, qualification, contracting and management of suppliers. Build management strategies that fully leverage preferred global and multinational suppliers where applicable.Drive continuous improvements in total landed cost. Negotiate, create, execute and manage effective region-specific contracts with suppliers that maximize opportunity globally. Leverage low cost sourcing options to drive lower COGS Optimize local sourcing terms (price, payment terms, delivery, etc.) where local sources are required Become a talent magnet to identify, recruit and retain highly skilled sourcing professionals that are solution oriented and focused on continual improvement. Drive the company to deliver optimum supply chain value through selection of quality suppliers, fact-based negotiations, and performance-based contracting to protect the company's interests. Provides coordination for like purchases across assigned regions, ensuring bundling of spend to optimize buying leverage for the company. Regionally improve the efficiency of procurement processes and systems in alignment with PSM leadership. Provide regional guidance to personnel that analyze markets and market timing, analyze spend, analyze economic indicators and indices, evaluate make-buy options, review bid documents, negotiate, review contracts, manage contract dossiers. Leads the international procurement strategy and sets direction for assigned spend categories including commercial and indirect goods and services. Development of senior level relationships with regional suppliers to anticipate and proactively address critical issues. Drives geographic stakeholder alignment within each region on spend management, savings opportunities and strategic supplier sourcing needs. Ensures that the organization understands and complies with the appropriate corporate policies and processes as they related to procurement transactions. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ of procurement/sourcing experience with increasing global responsibility and experience in a large matrixed company environment. 5+ years' experience leading teams in multiple countries with a focus on building diverse, high performing teams 3+ years Pharma or Maritime industry experience Experience managing the delivery of large sourcing projects and end-to-end service implementation in collaboration with cross functional teams Experience in managing complex supply or value chains Experience negotiating complex supplier agreements Demonstrated success in delivering a multi-year strategy ensuring competitive commercial advantage Solid financial and accounting acumen – CAPEX, OPEX, etc… Excellent contract negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a complex, global organization Strong business acumen with demonstrated success developing, and executing on a multi-year strategy Strong project and change management skills Seniority level
