POD Cast Creator and Social Media Manager
(Part-Time)

Thunderjaws is seeking an experienced, energetic and creative host and producer to be the voice of a new technology-focused podcast in development. This a new position and opportunity. The position is new and requires a person that is dynamic and understands the technological issues and mindset of the country.
Qualifications And Experience
Help to facilitate the booking of our note-worthy guests and manage the relationships and logistics with them and their teams Oversee podcast filming between the country and our guests Create engaging captions and copy, and audit those produced by the podcast team. Create and manage a social media calendar to ensure consistent and timely content distribution. Align all content with the voice and brand of the company. Oversee our short form editors and audit the content they produce Manage our social media channels in congruence with our podcast team Audit and approve podcast videos and audio to ensure high-quality content. Audit and approve social media posts, captions, copy, and video content. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the podcast production process. (Bonus) Edit video content and be proficient in video editing tools.
REQUIREMENTS:
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering important tech and markets news and analysis to growing, global audience of engaged listeners through interviews, original reporting and news segments. This position requires an authoritative yet approachable on-mic presence, impeccable editorial judgment, a deep understanding of audio storytelling, strong production skills and a passion for explaining the “why” behind the news and how it affects listeners’ everyday lives. It also requires the ability to get up to speed quickly, to ask the basic questions that ensure accuracy and precision, and to ask the unexpected questions that illuminate a topic. Top candidates for this role will have a strong journalism background and interest in the people, companies and money behind the latest technological innovations. They must have experience in tech and/or business reporting, with the ability to ask questions that will help our audience understand corporate decision making. They must have creative ideas for how to tell stories at the intersection of tech, business and finance. Experience in research, reporting and interviewing, including in live settings, are crucial for this role. A background in podcasting, radio or another comparable medium is preferred. Experience in storytelling in multiple formats, including narrative-style podcasting, is a plus.
