Sr Data Analyst - Chicago
The Data Analyst role will be responsible for administering the integrity, accuracy and consistency of security reference and pricing data. This position will work closely with business and technology partners across the company to help define, manage and access security governance, including testing new systems and enhancements to preserve data integrity. Sitting within the Security Data Management team, the group is responsible for managing databases and systems related to enterprise security reference data and security life cycle events such as corporate actions, proxy voting, pricing, and market data management.

Duties and responsibilities
Provide critical path production support for the firm's reference data products and security master data to various stakeholders across the firm Continual documentation of data infrastructure to facilitate firm-wide user access and discovery Assist on developing an intelligent adjudication of data discrepancies, including exception management and vendor discrepancy research across multiple platforms Provide daily oversight of security valuation, FX, and pricing discrepancies, including coordination of fair value events, and ensuring accuracy of the firm's established policies and industry regulations Firm subject matter expert on corporate actions and proxy voting including a thorough understanding of the firm's proxy voting guidelines, and complex market events Manage the organization and support of market data service activities, including contract renewals, invoicing, audits, and vendor business owner oversight Assist with the development and implementation of procedures and training materials for the team Collaborate with technology, operations, and research teams on key firm-wide initiatives, including defining project requirements, executing test scripts, and providing business owner approvals Investigate and promote new ideas, infrastructure, and data sources to facilitate business growth and process improvement, while reducing data operation risk Requirements:
3 years experience in Analytical, Consulting, or Auditing environment Experience in project management strong cross departmental communication Technology aptitude or exposure experience interacting with technical teams Detail oriented, Highly organized, Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred
Sound understanding of security characteristics for the following asset classes: equities, OTC derivatives, and various fixed income instruments such as bonds and securitized products Experience with security reference data management systems (i.e. Eagle RDC) Experience with vendor management or market data analysis Healthy curiosity about the industry and trends in data management Experience with querying database using SQL
