As our client base continues to grow, we’re seeking a seasoned Employment Law Advising Associate to join our collaborative team. Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and experienced attorney with at least five years of direct counseling experience in employment law. This is not a litigation role. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise advising HR professionals and business leaders on day-to-day employment issues, compliance strategies, and best practices for workplace policy development. A strong background in executive compensation, including equity and deferred compensation plans, is highly preferred.No portable book of business required. Key Responsibilities: Provide daily counseling to clients on a wide range of employment issues including performance management, terminations, accommodations, wage and hour compliance, and workplace investigations Draft, review, and update employment policies, handbooks, and internal procedures Advise clients on federal, state, and local employment laws, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation Assist in designing and implementing executive compensation structures, including equity and deferred compensation plans Lead or support client trainings, webinars, and educational sessions on employment law topics Participate in business development and marketing initiatives, including writing articles, blog posts, and presenting at industry events Work independently while collaborating with other team members on cross-functional matters Requirements: J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction Minimum 5 years of experience focused on employment law counseling and compliance Demonstrated ability to independently manage client relationships and deliver practical, business-oriented legal advice Experience drafting and advising on equity and deferred compensation plans for executive teams strongly preferred Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills Comfort and enthusiasm for public speaking, training, and participating in firm marketing efforts Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a law firm or in-house legal department focusing on employment law Familiarity with complex, multi-state compliance issues A strong network or interest in building your own book of business over time Why Join Us?
