Provides responsive and high quality customer services to promote positive impressions to customers. Works efficiently as a team member, taking initiative to perform tasks, resolve problems and ensure successful outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Note: duties listed below are examples and may vary by location. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Takes customer orders and serves food. May prepare, cook, or assemble food items, such as sandwiches and salads, and wrap or place orders in containers for carry-out. Processes cash, credit card, and meal card transactions. Assists with stocking/restocking of inventory and replenishment of food items, utensils, napkins, etc. Maintains clean work areas and tools/equipment. Provides quality customer service while ensuring compliance with policies and standards. Uses interpersonal skills to build customer confidence. Maintains positive working relationships with customers and coworkers. Observes all safety and company rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Assists other departments as needed. Must comply with and ensure continued compliance with all company policies and applicable laws/regulations including safety and health. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education, Training and Experience
The minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or GED. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination may be substituted. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Food Handler certificate from the County of San Diego is preferred. Minimum Qualifications
Language Skills: Must be able to read, write and understand English; able to follow verbal and written instructions. Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills; able to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instruction. Manual Dexterity: Ability to use a variety of equipment and utensils. Physical Communication: Ability to communicate and hear clearly; professional appearance. Physical Demands: Able to operate cash registers; stand for prolonged periods; lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions
Work is in a food production area with exposure to food fumes or airborne particles. Frequent exposure to moving parts; humid and hot conditions; cleaning chemicals. Noise level is moderate. Background Check
A background check will be conducted after a conditional offer and must be satisfactorily completed before employment.
