Social Media Coordinator – Independent Contractor (hourly)

SUMMARY The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for helping with the execution and growth of our social media presence. This role will implement a best-in-class social media strategy while creating social content to engage followers and non-followers. The ideal vendor has experience in social media management with a strong ability to write copy tailored for social, keep up with industry trends, create social content, and understand the differences in strategy between platforms.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Create, write, and publish engaging content on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and more.
Maintain a consistent brand voice and presence across our social media platforms.
Monitor social channels and respond to user comments and questions as necessary.
Help develop social media campaigns to increase brand awareness, traffic, and donors.
Track and report on key performance metrics that will optimize social strategy.
Stay updated on industry trends and new platforms and features that could strengthen our social presence.
Work with MarCom / Video teams to identify and produce engaging video content.
Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations with social influencers and ambassadors.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of experience in social media management.
Bachelors degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
Proven experience creating and publishing social media content.
Proficiency with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn).
Experience with social media management and analytics tools like Zoomph, Later, GA4, etc.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong ability to generate engaging content ideas.
Experience with content creation software like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of AI for social media purposes.
Passion for the mission of supporting persecuted Christians.
TRAVEL
Travel is not required for this position.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Must have passion to support communications about persecuted Christians and advance the Gospel around the world.
